The Granite Falls Living at Home/Block Nurse Program will be hosting a series of sessions on Alzheimer’s. The series will include education on how to combat the stigma attached to the disease. This will be a 6 session series over 2 years and will include topics such as: improving communication, understanding behavior, making connections with people with dementia, and positive interactions with people with dementia.
The second session is titled: Dementia/Alzheimer’s Communication and Coping Skills
The speaker is Gretchen Reeves, M.A., CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist for the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital
