Granite Falls, MN — Granite Falls Health and Carris Health have finalized their plans for the sale of the Carris Health Clinic in Granite Falls. Through an agreement effective July 1, 2018, the Carris Health Clinic, formerly ACMC-Granite Falls, will become part of Granite Falls Health.
Tom Kooiman, Granite Falls Health CEO, said the agreement will bring together the skills and talents of both groups. “We are convinced that the best way to fulfill our responsibility to the community, and to deal with the challenges we face in health care, such as rising costs, capital demands and physician recruitment, is to work in a coordinated way.”
“Together, our organizations have concluded that merging the two clinic practices into one practice, with the local hospital, is in the best interest of Granite Falls and the surrounding communities,” said Carris Health Co-CEO, Cindy Firkins Smith, M.D.
The agreement between Carris Health and Granite Falls Health will help to foster a new healthcare environment dedicated to improving patient outcomes by creating one, integrated local care delivery model.
The consolidated clinics and hospital will provide services under the banner of Granite Falls Health and the healthcare providers will initially operate out of two clinic locations with the goal of determining what location(s) and environment will best serve the healthcare needs of the patients and community in the future.
